WE OFFER

TREATMENT SERVICES

Sameem Behavioral Health offers outpatient treatments for substance abuse and other behavioral health conditions. Our outpatient treatment programs allows individuals to receive treatment while still maintaining their daily responsibilities, such as work or school. Outpatient treatments are good options for those with less severe addictions or who have completed an inpatient treatment program and need ongoing support. Here are some common outpatient substance abuse treatment modalities:

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy for substance abuse involves one-on-one sessions with a therapist to work through the underlying issues that contribute to substance abuse, and to develop coping skills and strategies to maintain sobriety.

Group Therapy

Group therapy for substance abuse and secondary conditions involves therapy sessions with a group of people who are all working on their recovery. Group therapy can provide support, feedback, and a sense of community.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT): CBT is a type of therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to substance abuse. CBT can help individuals develop new coping skills and strategies to manage cravings and triggers.

Family & Couples Therapy

Family or couples therapy, also known as psychotherapy or talk therapy, is a type of treatment used to address mental health conditions or harmful patterns of behavior, thoughts, or emotional reactions that can be contributing factors to addiction issues. In this type of therapy, all members of the family or the couple are treated at the same time by the same therapist. The therapist's aim is to address the mental health conditions and how they might be impacting the family or couple's relationship.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment or MAT involves the use of medications such as methadone or buprenorphine to manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. MAT is commonly used to treat opioid addiction.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs): IOPs are outpatient programs that provide more intensive treatment than traditional outpatient programs. IOPs typically involve more frequent therapy sessions and may include additional services such as drug testing and medication management.

Testing

Drug-testing programs provides objective, reliable, and valid results. Random drug testing is a key component of the treatment process aiding the clinician with an objective measure of progress or lack thereof. Drug tests help clinicians address the realities of a clients substance use and break through the barrier of denial. Accurate testing is the most objective and efficient way to establish a framework for accountability and to gauge each clients progress. Modern technology offers highly reliable testing to determine if an individual has recently used specific drugs. The analyzer tests for cocaine, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, amphetamines, methamphetamines, alcohol, oxycodone, and marijuana.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive outpatient programs are designed for individuals who require a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services can offer, but do not require 24-hour supervision, which is found in a residential program. These programs are mainly intended for individuals who are struggling with substance abuse issues, which may also include a co-occurring behavior disorder that needs to be addressed. IOP Programs provide the necessary resources and understanding needed to help people get their lives back on track.
